ENSURE THE BLUETOOTH DEVICE HAS BEEN CHARGED FULLY BEFORE THE FIRST USE AS YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO CONNECT IT OTHERWISE
- Check the monitoring device has been fully charged and switched on. Enable Bluetooth connection on patient’s mobile device
- Once the patient has been enrolled successfully, a text message is sent to the patient’s mobile phone number with a link to download Lara Health for Patients app and their account login details
- Download the app on the patient’s smartphone, either from the App store (iOS, Apple device users) or from GooglePlay (Android device users). Log in using the email address entered in the portal during the enrollment and temporary password sent via a SMS
- Place the patient device close to their smartphone
- With new patients, the app will guide you to the screen where you can connect the device. With existing patients who are already using the app, got to PROFILE to connect a new device. The app automatically detects the device. Follow instructions in the app to connect a device.
- Once a device has been successfully connected to the patient’s app you will be able to take a measurement
- Help the patient to set up measurement and medication reminders so they can actively participate in your remote care program
- Help the patient enable notifications in the profile tab so they can receive important messages via the app.
PLEASE ENSURE THE PATIENT HAS ENABLED NOTIFICATIONS IN THE PROFILE SECTION OF THE APP. WITHOUT NOTIFICATIONS ENABLED PATIENTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SET UP REMINDERS OR RECEIVE IMPORTANT MESSAGES OR ACCESS OTHER FEATURES IN THE APP.
9. Provide each patient with printed instructions to take with them home.
