Lara Health has a built-in telecommunication tools to connect with the enrolled patients directly from their profile page. Each clinic has been provided with a unique phone number used for all communications from the portal.
SMS text messaging
The portal allows to send and receive text messages. To send a message, click the "SMS" icon next to the patient's cell number. It will open a pop-up box to enter the message and send it. All text messages are saved in the COMM (communication) tab in the patient's page as well the main MESSAGES menu section. Incoming replies are also displayed and saved there.
Unread messages filter in the dashboard
Incoming messages have a tick box that can be marked when a messages has been read. Messages that do not have the box ticked are considered "unread". The dashboard keeps track of unread message count and displays it in the "To do list overview" section.
Phone calling
Clinical staff can call a patient directly to both their cell phone and other phone (if number was entered in the patient profile). Incoming calls are being forwarded to the clinic's main number on file. Outgoing calls are being logged in the patient's COMM tab.
